New Scents on the Way

Ok, here goes - my first E-Newsletter. I'm sure there will be some bugs to work out, but here goes........I'd love to hear your feedback so please e-mail joan.lilley@ns.sympatico.ca and of course, if you would like to order something, I'm here for you.
Unfortunately one of my best suppliers is going out of business due to medical and personal reasons BUT I did take advantage of her closing out sale and 4 brand new scents are on the way. Of course, once these are gone - they are gone, but we can enjoy them while we last.
They are:
White Chocolate Karibu ~Godiva type scent~
A wonderful blend of roasted cashews mixed gently with rich honey combined with white chocolate ganache!
Chocolate Chip Cookies
Smell the melting chocolate mixed with all the goodness of cookies...vanilla, brown sugar...this scent will certainly remind you of childhood!!
Iced Carrot Cake
Spicy Carrot Cake dripping with rich cream cheese frosting!!! Truly incredible yummy scent that will fast become a year round favorite!!
Grandma's Cinnamon Baklava
An oh so yummy blend of flaky pastry mixed with cinnamon and glazed sugar with hints of honey and spices. So realistic you'll think you are in your Grandma's Kitchen!!!

I also reordered Hazelnut Coffee, Cinnamon Appleberry and Creme Brule. Alas, the Apple Cobbler Delight and Vermont Maple Sugar is also from this supplier and will no longer be available. I am going to try the Maple Sugar from another supplier and I'm sure it will be just as nice. I do have some Apple Cobbler Delight wax votives on hand, plus a little bit of oil left...so I am savouring every sniff I get. :-)

June 1, 2009Retail Votive Price change

Retail Votive pricing will be changing July 1, 2009

This change will affect my retail customers only.
After much soul searching and factoring
in increased prices of materials and especially shipping, I find I have to raise the retail price of my votives
as of JULY 1, 2009.

The below prices will apply more to retail customers at the craft shows or at my home where a minimum order of the same scent and colour is not required.
As of July 1, 2009 prices of my
soy and palm votives will be $1.75 each
5 votives for $8.00 (a saving of .75)
6 votives for $9.50 (a saving of $1.00)
7 votives for $11.00 (a saving of $1.25)
8 votives for $12.00 (a saving of $2.00)
9 votives for $13.50 (a saving of $2.25)

I hope you will understand my decision.
Show Lined up for June 2009
I will be at the World's Largest Garage and Craft show at the Lunenburg Arena June 27 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Last chance to stock up my votives at the old price unless you stop in at the house.

Ok, that's it for now. If you have any questions or suggestions, please let me know

PRICING CHANGE

Upon further reflection I have decided NOT to raise the prices of my votives. See, a woman can change her mind. :-)

My soy and palm votives will still be $1.50 and if you buy 8, the 9th one is free, and of course, you can mix and match from the votives available.

My theory has always been that I would rather sell more product at a reasonable price than less at a higher one. Don't you agree!!! And this is why I will never be rich but I will sleep at night and know my customers will be happy as well.

HARMONY BAZAAR IN LOCKEPORT, NOVA SCOTIA

This Saturday, July 25, I will be at the Lockeport High School celebrating the Harmony Bazaar - Festival of Women and Song - from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Also for those who are familiar with Nancy Norklun's Jewellery, she will be there as well. For Music lovers - Rita McNeil will be performing at 9:00 p.m. Saturday night and there will be a lot of entertainment during the day.

That's it for now. I have my show schedule posted on my home page and will have copies to hand out at the show as well.

Hope all of you are well and enjoying our "summer" (for those in the Nova Scotia area). You'd almost think we were in Vancouver or Seattle, wouldn't you. lol.

Take care and maybe see you this Saturday. Joan Lilley The Lilley Pad Candles and Soaps 213 Jubilee Road Bridgewater, NS B4V 3G5 http://www.thelilleypad.com
